Hi, I’m Masha. I draw for games: characters, illustration, concept art. I live and work in St. Petersburg.

Behind me are an academic art education and years of teaching myself digital painting — I belong to both traditions exactly as much as I belong to neither. Running a pencil line from life and assembling a complex frame out of a photobash interest me equally.

What holds my attention in a piece is character and mood: light, colour, and the state the drawing was started for. I’m learning to finish personal work while still riding the emotion I began with, and I’m slowly making my way toward 3D.

Alongside finished work there is a journal — notes on the process and psychology of drawing.
